We have strong ties to UNIVERSITAS Austria, the Austrian Interpreters' and Translators' Association, through long years of membership and board work. Michaela Chiaki Ripplinger
Michaela completed both a diploma and a doctorate programme in Translation Studies at the Centre for Translation Studies of the University of Vienna. She also graduated from the master's programme in Conference Interpreting at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting of Heidelberg University. As senior lecturer, she teaches interpreting and translation courses at the Vienna Centre for Translation Studies. Having served as a board member of UNIVERSITAS Austria, the Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association in Austria, where she also chaired the Committee for Translation, she knows the ins and outs of the Austrian language industry. As a translator and interpreter, she specialises in patents, business communication and academic settings. Her working languages are German, English and Japanese.
Laura Magdalena Scheifinger
A graduate of the master’s programme Conference Interpreting at the Centre for Translations Studies of the University of Vienna, Laura is not only expertly trained but has years of experience interpreting in the most varied settings. In her work as a translator she specialises in the fields of economy, politics, tourism and literature. For several years, she has taught at the Centre for Translation Studies. She currently also serves on the Committee for Translation of UNIVERSITAS Austria, the Austrian Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association. Her working languages are German, English and French.
PRICING
We charge translation and interpretation services according to the fee chart of UNIVERSITAS Austria, the Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association in Austria.
Translations are charged per standard line, using the translation as the basis for calculation. If a project requires you to know the exact costs in advance, we can also make a lump-sum offer. Text optimisation, proofreading and related services are charged on an hourly basis. Interpreting fees depend on the length of assignment. For interpreting services of up to four hours, we charge half-day rates. To longer assignments of up to seven hours, the full-day rate applies. Short assignments (maximum of one hour) are charged on an hourly basis.
